Damien trained in Melbourne, Australia; under film director Aleksi Vellis and then later at the Gaiety
School of Acting, Dublin.
His theatre credits include MACBETH, A MIDSUMMER'S NIGHTS DREAM and A CHERRY
ORCHARD. His film debut HILL 16 (2005) won awards in festivals across the U.S. and Europe.
Damien was also nominated for a Best Actor award at the Cherbourg British & Irish Film Festival,
France. 2005.
He filmed a Carlsberg commercial in New Zealand. (Dir: Lenny Dorfman; DOP: Seamus
McGarvey (ATONEMENT ).
Charlie Casanova premiered at the South By Southwest Film Festival, Austin, Texas; in March 2011 and screened at the Edinburgh International Film Festival in June. It has its Irish premiere at the Galway Film Fleadh in July.
Damien recently filmed Treasure Island for Sky1 HD in Dublin and Puerto Rico. Cast included Eddie Izzard, Phil Glenister and Elijah Wood.
